Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) Testing - The noise reduction coefficient (NRC) is a single number value ranging from 0.0 to 1.0 that describes the average sound absorption performance of a material. An acoustic product absorbs sound and the NRC tells us just how much sound those products can soak up. NRC is measured on a scale that ranges from 0 to 1.
